barre3 is one of Fort Mill’s newest barre studios. Inspired by ballet barre, yoga, and Pilates, barre3 tones and lengthens all major muscles, revs your heart rate, and strengthens your body! We had the opportunity to pop into a class and see what it was all about!
All classes last for one hour. Expect a musically driven class that focuses on holds, little pulses, followed by big movements to get you working every muscle. Classes are performed barefoot but you can also wear grip socks if you prefer. Before class, your instructor will be sure you are all set up and are ready to go. They provide you with both props/weights you need for class and small towels.
One of my favorite things about barre3 is the ability and understanding of the need to modify exercises. Your instructor will check beforehand to see if you have any injuries and will provide modifications during class!
Although we don’t have any children, this class is perfect for parents as they offer childcare in a separate room or “play lounge” while you work out.
