Studio of the Week: Be Yoga

We visited Be Yoga in Dilworth recently for a ‘Powerful Flow’ class with SweatNET Ambassador, Grace Millsap. Their Dilworth location is quietly tucked away above Menchie’s on East Blvd. There is plenty of parking available below the studio, as well as extra parking by Harris Teeter.

Although the Dilworth studio is non-heated, that doesn’t mean we didn’t work up a sweat. The class was all about building internal heat through a sequence of progressions. We flowed through a similar sequence but added a new posture each time which made the sequence gradually more difficult. Grace encouraged everyone to take what they needed in their own bodies, whether that was sitting back at child’s pose or adding an inversion.

If you do prefer a heated yoga class, you can go to their Carmel location, which has a heated yoga studio and showers! You can find a full list of classes and descriptions here.

My favorite thing about Be Yoga is how welcoming they are. Whether you are brand new or are a Be Yoga veteran, you will feel invited and encouraged. The instructors, including Grace, are extremely helpful and insightful.

We highly suggest giving Be Yoga a try if you have not yet! SweatNET members can save $6 on a drop in at both the Dilworth and Carmel location. To check out all of the deals they offer to members, click here.
